Narrie Toole is a bona-fide rancher, for years owning and operating a registered cow herd and feeder cattle operation. She has an intimate knowledge of the west, its wildlife and its people. Yet, throughout her cowgirl years she was, also and always, an artist.

Collectors from the USA and Europe soon valued her sensitive and vibrant depictions of wildlife, livestock, and scenery. Her work has been shown and is part of a permanent collection at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces as well as shown in the Hubbard Museum of the American West in Ruidoso. She paints from her Estudio de la Montura in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Narrie is the real deal, capturing on canvas with her contemporary interpretation, her passion for, and knowledge of, a west that is fast disappearing.
