My father was a photography enthusiast when I was growing up, so I've had a camera in my hand for about as long as I can remember.
Intrigued by texture, my photographic and digital artwork explore a wide range of subjects and textures. By combining a subject image with layers of photographic textures, I can create mood, depth and a deeper sense of place.
Feltmaking is my preferred fiber medium and is similar to my photographic work in regards to texture and layers. I've always been a maker (yes, always!) and fiber art relieves my craving to create something more tactile than photography and digital art provide.
I will be giving wet felting demonstrations in the studio throughout the tour. Besides the types of artwork you see pictured above, items for sale include various felted goods and supplies, including dyed Merino Roving, Wool Nepps, and Olive Oil Soap Flakes for wet felting. All major credit cards accepted including Apple Pay and Android Pay.
